Designed for Interactive Muscle Recovery
The v-health platform offers a dynamic approach to recovery by integrating a patented Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES) wearable with a mobile app and XR software. Designed for gamified muscle re-education, it offers engaging and motivating muscle training through real-time muscle stimulation. With customisable intensity levels and interactive environments, the platform lets users personalise their recovery journey via a user-friendly mobile app. v-health empowers individuals to take control of their recovery and improve their quality of life by enhancing muscle endurance, flexibility, and range of motion.
Key Benefits
-
Combining EMS with Virtual Reality for Enhanced Recovery: Integrating Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) with virtual reality technology supports neuromuscular recovery by stimulating muscles during virtual exercises. This combination aids in muscle strengthening and improving motor function.
-
Enhanced Patient Adherence through Gamification: Gamification enhances user motivation and adherence by making it engaging rather than passive. The evidence-based game design, developed alongside clinicians and patients, encourages users to participate in more sessions and repetitions.
More Repetition, More Recovery: By incorporating elements of gamification, we ensure that patients not only stick to their recovery routines but also perform more repetitions in an engaging way. Its interactive nature promotes consistent use and supports long-term progress.
-
eir bands: The wearable bands are lightweight, portable, and easy to use. With no wires, they are simple to attach with one hand, making them perfect for at-home or clinic-based use.
Clinician Interface & Games: The user interface is designed to be intuitive and straightforward. Clinicians can quickly set up the sessions, ensuring a seamless experience for both patients and healthcare professionals. We provide clinics with ongoing support and training.
-
Personalised Intensity Control: Clinicians can adjust intensity, frequency, and pulse parameters according to each patient's needs and capabilities. v-health personalises challenges based on user progress, increasing the reward of each session.
Real-Time Adjustment: The platform allows clinicians to fine-tune settings and intensity levels in real-time, ensuring each session is appropriately challenging and effective.
The v-health platform combines innovative eir bands, our patented NMES (neuromuscular electrical stimulation) wearable, with immersive virtual environments and interactive mobile games to deliver personalised rehabilitation.
How v-health Platform Works?
eir bands stimulate targeted muscles to assist in muscle re-education and recovery.
Patients engage in virtual reality (VR) games that assess movement and enhance motor function through gamified experiences.
Customisable settings allow clinicians to adjust intensity and stimulation parameters in real time.
Mobile integration extends therapy with manual modes and interactive games, offering flexible and continuous care.
Clinicians can effortlessly monitor patients’ movements in virtual reality and provide real-time feedback using the mobile application’s video feed feature.

Key Features
Early Feasibility Study
with Stroke and Spinal Cord Injury Patients
An early feasibility study of the v-health platform was conducted with 14 neurological patients, including spinal cord injury and stroke survivors, in four clinics across the UK and Belgium. Patients played four XR games and one mobile game, each supported by functional electrical stimulation (FES) for hand and wrist mobility. The sessions, lasting 10-15 minutes, received positive feedback—patients preferred the XR games due to the real-time feedback between movement intent and stimulation. Clinicians also valued the ease of setup and the ability to adjust parameters in real-time for tailored rehabilitation.
